for Horticulturists:
The Horticulturists is responsible for assisting the client
in bringing their planting dreams into a plan that will be
installed within the client's property.
| Candidates for a Horticulturist position with DesignScape should possess the following: |
1. Enthusiasm for & knowledge of both
basic landscaping plants as well as nursery & exotic plants.
2.
Hands on experience with plants & trees.
3. Familiarity
with soil amendments & soil types.
4. Familiarity with typical
pests & diseases.
5. Possess design abilities such as creating
pleasing plant combinations while accommodating the like needs
of plants & correct interaction w/ landscape & other
plant groupings.
6. Knowledge of local nurseries & growers.
7.
Ability to respond to verbalized needs & create solutions
by suggesting appropriate plants to satisfy those needs.
8.
Ability to meet deadlines.
9. Basic understanding of Microsoft
Excel, Word & basic graphics programs.
10. Ability to work
in small groups or individually with problem solving mentality. |
